Khaberni - Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian forces are winning what he described as "the just battle" in Ukraine, and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded by stating that his country has regained more than hundreds of square kilometers in the east of the country during recent counterattacks, but his forces are facing difficult conditions on other fronts.

Putin said in a video clip posted on the Kremlin's website on Monday, "Our fighters and our leaders are leading the attack, and the entire state, all of Russia, is engaged in this just battle and working hard... We are together defending our love for the motherland and the unity of our historic destiny, we are fighting and winning."

Zelenskyy said in his nightly video address, "Since the beginning of this day, our forces have liberated more than 174 square kilometers since the operation began, and more than 194 square kilometers have been cleared of Russian sabotage groups."

He added that the Russian forces has lost nearly 3200 soldiers during the operation. The president indicated that the Ukrainian forces are facing difficult conditions on several fronts, including near the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv border region, and in areas between Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk.
