Khaberni - The cooperation between "BMW" and "Qualcomm", specialized in manufacturing processor chips and graphics cards, has yielded an intelligent driving system used for the first time in the upcoming generation of "iX3" cars to be released next year, according to a report published by the technical site "The Verge".

The new processors provide BMW cars with an unparalleled level of intelligence in the automotive world, as they come with advanced driver-assistance systems that allow the driver to control the car without holding the steering wheel, in addition to a set of self-driving car features.

The company calls the new system "Snapdragon Ride System-on-Chip", and the company affirms that this system provides cars with an advanced level of computing without consuming much energy, and it also complies with the European standards for Level 2 autonomous vehicles.

The car also benefits from the computing power provided by the new chip in its entertainment systems, as these systems become closer to mobile phones and smart computers in terms of ease of use and their user interface.

Both companies unveiled the new innovation at the Munich Motor Show in recent weeks, where BMW confirmed that the new iX3 is the first production from its new "Neue Klasse" generation, which relies on a platform carrying the same name.

Qualcomm added that its autonomous driving system is licensed to operate in more than 50 countries around the world with plans to expand to more than 100 countries by 2026, and although it is now available with BMW cars, the company intends to make it available to all car manufacturers worldwide.
