Khaberni - New details have emerged in the case of the accused planning to carry out a terrorist operation targeting places of worship in the State of Kuwait.
Sources told Al-Qabas that the accused, an Egyptian resident belonging to the banned ISIS organization, was presented to the public prosecutor after being referred by the Ministry of Interior and underwent extensive investigations during which he confessed to belonging to the banned group and carrying its ideologies.
The sources revealed that the accused also confessed to planning a terrorist operation targeting places of worship and that he had learned to manufacture explosives to destabilize security and execute his plan.
The Ministry of Interior announced that the security forces represented by the State Security Agency had succeeded in arresting an Arab resident belonging to a banned group targeting the security of Kuwait and destabilizing its fundamental systems, after it was discovered that he planned to carry out an explosive terrorist operation targeting places of worship, and after taking legal procedures, he was referred to the public prosecutor.

The Ministry further explained that precise investigations led to the arrest of the accused following monitoring and surveillance after it was revealed that he planned to execute an explosive terrorist operation targeting places of worship. Devices and materials used in making explosives were found in his residence, along with methods of preparation and usage, proving the seriousness of his planned plot.
