The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Honors Petra University Student Mohammed Horaniya at the You are Ambassadors of Jordan Ceremony

Khaberni - The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, honored student Mohammed Yasser Horaniya, who achieved a GPA of (3.97) in Business Management at the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, for being the highest among non-Jordanian students.
The ceremony was held in the presence of the president of Petra University, Professor Dr. Rami Abdel Rahim, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Eyad Al Malah, as part of the activities of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with the Tourism Promotion Authority, under the title "You are Ambassadors of Jordan", to honor the top incoming students graduating from higher education institutions in Jordan for the 2024-2025 session.
The ceremony took place at the SIGNIA By Hilton Amman, attended by the President of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, Dr. Dhafir Al-Sarayreh, the acting Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Shadi Musa'dah, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Government Communication, Dr. Zaid Al-Nawaiseh, in addition to a number of ambassadors, attachés, and cultural advisors at Arab embassies, presidents of Jordanian public and private universities, deans of university colleges, members of the Foreign Student Recruitment Committee, a number of deans of student affairs, registrars-general, and officials responsible for following up on the affairs of incoming students at Jordanian universities and colleges.
During his speech, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research reiterated that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, is keen to keep higher education institutions a beacon of knowledge and openness to the sons and daughters of the Arab and Islamic nations and to students from various countries worldwide, emphasizing Jordan's role in promoting the values of moderation and enhancing bridges of communication between peoples and cultures.
Dr. Azmi Mahafzah added that Jordan is a preferred destination for incoming students from all around the world, and that the ministry, in cooperation with Jordanian universities, provides an integrated educational environment to ensure a distinguished academic, cultural, and humanitarian experience for the students. He also addressed the graduating students, affirming that they are ambassadors of good between their home countries and Jordan, and urged them to be models of discipline and commitment, and to dedicate their excellence to serving their communities upon returning to their homelands.
On her part, student Noor Majed Al-Ghatam from the Kingdom of Bahrain, who ranked first among the incoming students graduating from Mutah University with a Doctorate in Strategic Management Philosophy, said that this honor reflects the Jordanian state's attention to international students and the care for outstanding individuals, confirming that the national leadership gives high priority to education and students within the national educational policies.
During the ceremony, the new visual identity for attracting incoming students to study in Jordanian universities under the title "Study in Jordan" was launched, designed and directed by the creative Mu’taz Husain, an expert in graphic design and creative production.
The event included a poetry segment by the poet Meshal Al-Anzi, a graduate of Hashemite University, in addition to a musical performance by the Naya Women's Singing Group with authentic Eastern music.
