Despite the great celebration the picture received from fans of the Egyptian star, who is 85 years old, a controversy accompanied its spread, especially since some followers doubted its credibility, only to find out in the end that the widely spread snapshot was false, as it was produced using artificial intelligence with deepfake technology.
According to Egyptian media, artist Adel Imam has been out of sight for about 4 years, and his first appearance was at the wedding of his grandson Adel Rami Imam in early July, but his family intentionally prevented anyone from taking pictures of him at the event, as he left shortly after, according to people close to him.
About two weeks ago, Adel Imam appeared in a circulating photo alongside writer Akram al-Saadni and his brother, producer Essam Imam, in a scene that reassured his fans about his health condition.
