Khaberni - Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Amman Al-Ahliyya University, sponsored last night, 29-9-2025, at the Arena Theater, the celebration of the first day for Amman Al-Ahliyya University, graduating its students for the summer semester 2024-2025 from cohort (32) for the faculties of: "Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Nursing, Architecture and Design, and Allied Medical Sciences", in the presence of Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of the University, and several members of the Board of Trustees, and the Vice President for Accreditation, Quality and Planning, Dr. Eyad Shaaban, along with the Deans and members of the faculty and administrative bodies, and a large crowd of the graduates' families and invited guests.
• The event commenced after the national anthem, with a beautiful recitation of the Quran by student Adam Al-Hadidi from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
• Then, Dr. Mustafa Attiyat, Dean of Student Affairs, delivered the university's welcome address. He welcomed the event's patron Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, along with Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of the University, members of the Board of Trustees, the deans, and members of both the teaching and administrative bodies, as well as the attendees, graduates, and their families, saying:
On this day filled with pride and joy, it is my pleasure and honor to warmly welcome you to your university - Amman Al-Ahliyya University, the first private university in Jordan, as we celebrate the graduation of an exceptional group of students from the faculties of:
Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Nursing, Architecture and Design, and Allied Medical Sciences.
Today is an extraordinary day where we celebrate years of hard work and perseverance, and we rejoice in the fruits of efforts that knew no fatigue or setback. Each graduate here is a success story, and every moment we share today is a moment of pride and honor for us all.
He added: It is a source of pride for us to celebrate this achievement at an esteemed university that has illuminated the path of higher education in our beloved nation - the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, guided by the pioneering vision established by the late founder Dr. Ahmed Al-Hourani, may God bless his soul, who believed that education is the most faithful path to building nations and crafting the future.
Today, Amman Al-Ahliyya University continues its luminous journey, thanks to the unwavering support and insightful vision of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, who has spared no effort in empowering the university and enhancing its status. This blessed journey is led by Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of the University, with wisdom and strength, prioritizing academic excellence and institutional development. This synergy between wise leadership and continuous support has made the university a model of academic excellence at local, regional, and international levels.
He then said: In this bright moment of our university's history, we are pleased to share with you some of the achievements Amman Al-Ahliyya University has accomplished in recent years, as it steadily advances towards excellence and leadership.
• The university was ranked within category (761–770) globally according to the QS ranking for 2026, progressing from the 2025 ranking where it was within category
(801–850). It also ranked first among private Jordanian universities and third overall among Jordanian universities.
• It maintained its leadership in Hospitality Management for the second consecutive year.
Furthermore, it achieved first place in Arts and Design, and third in the fields of Arts and Humanities.
In the Times Higher Education World Ranking 2025, the university was among the top
(601–800) universities globally.
And in the 2026 University Impact Ranking, it made a significant leap by reaching category (101–200) out of more than 2300 universities, after being in category (201–300) in 2024.
In the 2025 Asian Universities Ranking, it achieved position 186 out of approximately 1200 universities.
In the Arab Times Ranking, it occupied position 28.
It also secured first place among private Jordanian universities, and ranked 16th among Arab universities according to the 2024 Arab Universities Union ranking.
And in the Webometrics ranking, it topped private universities locally and ranked 41st Arab-wide.
He added: In response to the directives of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, emphasizing the need to support technical and vocational education as a strategic pathway to reduce unemployment, the university established the Technical Education Faculty, which awards the Intermediate Diploma.
The university has also been accredited by Pearson International as an approved center to offer BTEC international diploma programs in the following specialties:
• Cinema and Television
• Interior Design
• Automobile Engineering
• Computing and Software Engineering
• Medical Device Technology "National Diploma."
He then addressed the graduates, saying: You have made tremendous efforts, overcome many challenges, and today we celebrate your well-deserved graduation, and we congratulate your honorable families who have been your best support in this journey.
We, at Amman Al-Ahliyya University, as we celebrate today the graduation of a new group of our sons and daughters, express our pride and honor with our wise Hashemite leadership, and the commendable positions of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, may God preserve him, representing a firm national will for all Jordanians from various backgrounds.
May God help us all to serve our university and our beloved Jordan under the presence of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein and his trustworthy Crown Prince.
* Then, the event's patron Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, along with the University President, honored a group of distinguished professors and researchers, as introduced by the Dean of Student Affairs by saying:

In the field of scientific research, Amman Al-Ahliyya University has achieved global recognition thanks to the outstanding efforts of its faculty members, where a number of teaching staff have been ranked among the best 2% of researchers worldwide, including those being honored today with the Excellence in Scientific Research Shield as the best researchers at the university for the academic year 2024/2025.
