Khaberni - The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of the suspect accused of stabbing and killing the blogger Amir Asmaa in New Egypt, following a financial dispute between them, along with the confiscation of the used weapon and the arrest of the suspect.
The security forces of the Ministry of Interior revealed, on Monday, September 29, 2025, the details of the murder incident of the blogger Amir Asmaa, after a video was circulated on social media showing a person explaining how his friend suffered an assault that led to his death in the New Egypt area in Egypt.
According to the investigations, it was noted that on the 25th of this month, one of the hospitals reported receiving the body of a student residing within the jurisdiction of the Nasr City First Police Department, who suffered two stab wounds with a blade, resulting in his death from injuries.
The investigation concluded that the culprit is an unemployed individual known to the police and has prior criminal records, also residing within the department's jurisdiction.
The inspection revealed that the suspect attacked the victim due to previous financial disputes between them, using a blade weapon found in his possession when he was arrested.
During his interrogation, the accused confessed to committing the crime as recorded in the investigation report, indicating that the assault was motivated by those disputes. Legal procedures against him were initiated in preparation for presenting him to the competent prosecution to continue the investigation.
