Khaberni - In a move aimed at radically changing the user experience, the Instagram platform has started testing a new interface in limited markets, including India and South Korea, in an attempt to rearrange the priorities of users on the app.

Design Similar to iPad
According to a report published by Tech Crunch, the new design resembles the interface that recently appeared when the app version was launched on iPad devices. The update puts "Reels" at the forefront of the scene, displayed first upon opening the app.

Changes in the Navigation Bar
Although Stories continue to appear in their usual place at the top of the screen, the most significant change has occurred in the navigation bar; the direct messages button has moved to the center of the bar, while the "Reels" tab has shifted to the second position.

The new design allows users to navigate between tabs by dragging and scrolling.

New Options for the Feed
"Instagram" has also added modifications to the "Following" page, placing it next to the "Clips" tab, offering three distinctive browsing options:

- All: To display posts and suggested clips from accounts the user follows.

- Friends: For content only from connected accounts.

- Latest: To display the most recent posts and clips immediately.

Plan for Global Rollout
Although the update is still in the testing phase for a limited group of users, the company has confirmed that it aims to roll out the new interface globally in the coming period.

Video Leads Growth
This shift comes as the parent company "Meta" announced last week that the number of active monthly Instagram users has exceeded 3 billion.

It highlighted that the significant factor in this growth is attributed to short videos, which are reshared across various "Meta" platforms about 4.5 billion times a day, explaining the increasing focus on highlighting "Reels" and direct messages in the design of the new interface.
