Khaberni - This morning, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah witnessed the birth of a Jordanian traveller (22 years old) minutes after her flight from the Singaporean capital Kuala Lumpur arrived.
The traveler's primary destination was Jordan, but she decided to choose a transit flight via King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. As soon as the plane reached the airport apron, she was caught by labor pains, where the medical teams immediately took over the situation, and the birth took place within minutes of her arrival, under specialized medical care.
The medical teams at Jeddah Airport received a report of a traveler suffering from labor pains, and they rushed to the plane, where the traveler gave birth to her baby girl a few minutes after the crew arrived. The medical team confirmed the health and stability of both the mother and the newborn before transferring them to one of the hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health to complete their medical procedures.
It is worth mentioning that Jeddah airports have started, since last year, to equip ambulance teams that operate around the clock, consisting of 8 stations equipped with the latest medical assistance facilities, with 39 paramedics working to ensure immediate care is provided to travelers in all emergency situations.
