Khaberni - A number of Sharia specialization students - Intermediate Diploma at Al-Balqa Applied University, complained about the difficulty of the comprehensive exam "third paper," which was held on 23/9/2025.
The students told "Khaberni" that the questions were completely outside the curriculum and the approved books, adding that their phrasing was complex and philosophical, which did not match the level of the diploma.
They expressed their surprise at the presence of a question about "the son of fornication and his inheritance rights," confirming that this term was not mentioned in any of the Sharia books they studied during university or comprehensive course materials.
They also pointed out that some questions were incomplete and poorly phrased, in addition to numerous spelling errors that undermined the credibility of the exam. They considered that the exam focused on complex theoretical aspects and neglected the practical aspects required to train preachers and imams.
They described the exam as not being a fair assessment tool, but rather a “disabling” tool that threatened the future of hundreds of students, demanding an urgent review of the questions and the correction mechanism, accountability of the responsible persons, and ensuring that future exams are fair and related to the curriculum.
They explained that those affected by the exam belonged to 5 colleges that faced the same problem, namely: Irbid College, Princess Alia College, Ajloun College, Mafraq College, and Karak College.
