Khaberni - In the context of Amman Arab University's efforts towards developing educational skills and updating teaching methods in line with modern developments in the field of higher education, Professor Dr. Hossam Al-Hamd, the Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, representing Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Wadyan, the President of the University, inaugurated the training workshops for faculty members as part of the academic development plan for the academic year 2025/2026, which is implemented by the Academic Development Center and Quality Assurance / Academic Development Department.
About (30) training workshops were announced at the start of the current semester, targeted at deans, their assistants, heads of academic departments, and faculty members, in addition to new academic staff. These workshops will focus on core topics in higher education, notably academic accreditation and global rankings, issues of e-learning and the use of digital education tools, along with discussing strategic and procedural plans of the university, topics of effective academic advising, and enhancing scientific research to keep pace with the latest global developments.
On this occasion, Dr. Al-Hamd welcomed all faculty members, affirming that Amman Arab University is steadily stepping towards a more distinguished future through comprehensive academic development plans that concern all aspects and staff without exception. He explained that the purpose of these training workshops is not only to improve performance but also to have a tangible impact on students' experiences, positively reflecting on the university’s academic reputation and making it a leading and prestigious destination in the job market. Al-Hamd added that obtaining international accreditations is no longer an option but has become a necessity imposed by the current stage, emphasizing the university's commitment to achieving them through high-quality training programs. He also mentioned that this year’s training workshops were carefully designed to be a fundamental lever pushing the university towards higher ranks in global classifications, pointing out that the university is currently working seriously on improving the rankings of its academic programs to remain at the forefront of prestigious universities on both regional and global levels.
These workshops aim to enhance teaching expertise and boost the efficiency of the academic staff, and to establish a culture of quality in various educational and administrative practices within the university. They are also intended to keep up with global updates in teaching methods and academic assessment, as well as to stimulate creativity and innovation in the educational process, positively affecting the students and enhancing institutional integration among colleges and departments in the field of quality assurance and academic excellence.
