Khaberni - Special
Early Social Security retirees forcibly continue to protest against government decisions to retire them despite their ability to work.
These said in messages to Khaberni, that their protest stems from the injustice inflicted upon them, regarding their desire to work and their ability to contribute, especially since the referrals are made while they are in their forties and fifties.
They explained that their referral to retirement deprives them of benefits obtained at old-age retirement, in addition to preventing them from working for two years, along with other procedures related to deductions of their retirement salary after these two years.
They pointed out that they were forced into retirement and did not choose it, which means it is difficult to handle the obligations related to their livelihood, in the context of the deductions affecting their salaries (to reduce the number of early retirees), which burdens the social security retirement bill.
The retirees highlighted the absence of the criteria that regulate the process of referral to early retirement, which denies justice among employees.
It is noted that the Social Security Corporation is working to curb the phenomenon of early retirement by considering and working on raising the age allowed for early retirement, applying discounts on early retirement salaries, and imposing fines on employers who do not comply with re-including their employees in social security upon return to work, amid calls from the institution for the insured to be cautious about the decision of early retirement due to its negative impact on the value of the future retirement salary.
