Khaberni - Independence Hospital, the implementing partner for the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Relief projects, witnessed the launch of the second phase of the electronic cochlear implant initiative for Palestinian children in the capital, Amman, with a generous grant from the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Relief.
This phase is an extension of Independence Hospital’s experience in providing advanced medical care, as the hospital possesses modern equipment and qualified medical and nursing staff capable of handling various complex cases, providing an ideal therapeutic environment for the success of the initiative and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
This phase saw the accomplishment of 80 successful cochlear implant surgeries, performed by a volunteer medical team from Saudi Arabia, supported by highly competent nursing and technical staff using the latest global devices and technologies at Independence Hospital.
Dr. Aqeel bin Jamean Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Supervisor General for Planning and Development at the King Salman Center, confirmed that this humanitarian initiative allows children to regain their hearing and enables them to integrate into their social and educational environments, reflecting the center's mission in supporting those in need around the world and enhancing cooperative frameworks with Independence Hospital to succeed in such leading medical projects.
The CEO of Independence Hospital, Ahmed Al-Ahmad, expressed his pride in launching the second phase of the initiative, considering it an exceptional model of integration between medical and humanitarian efforts, praising the role of the Saudi volunteer medical team and the advanced medical capabilities, supportive staff, and follow-up and rehabilitation programs provided by the hospital for the benefiting children.
This project embodies its humanitarian dimension as a message of hope for the Palestinian children who were deprived of the blessing of hearing, and it reflects the strength of the brotherly relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of medical and humanitarian work.
