Khaberni - The Director of the Health and Environmental Affairs Department in the Greater Irbid Municipality, Engineer Yahya Al-Omari, said that the municipality warned 2648 establishments within the municipal boundaries during the past August.
Al-Omari added to the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) today, Monday, that the municipality issued health violations against 440 establishments within its boundaries, while the number of field visits reached 3303, and 20 establishments were closed.
He explained that the department received 35 complaints which were dealt with, and 30 of the establishments and individuals were referred to the governor to take the necessary legal and administrative actions against them, noting that the department continues to intensify its inspection campaigns through the Health Inspection Division and the Markets Division.
