Khaberni - Arsenal regained the rhythm of victories that had been missing in the recent stage of the English Premier League football competition, and tightened the grip on Liverpool in their battle for the top spot in the Premier League football standings.
Arsenal snatched a precious victory in the final moments, 2-1 against their host Newcastle United on Sunday, in the sixth round of the competition, at St. James' Park.
The German Nick Vollmha scored for Newcastle in the 34th minute, but the Spaniard Mikel Merino granted Arsenal the equalizer in the 84th minute, then the Brazilian Gabriel Magalhães gave the three points to the team of the Spanish coach Mikel Arteta, by scoring the guest team's second goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time of the second half.
