Khaberni - Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara met today with Ronald Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress, at the Syrian Mission to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the activities of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting discussed the file of Syrian-Israeli negotiations, where views were exchanged on ways to resume the negotiation process based on international legitimacy resolutions, according to what Syrian News conveyed.
It is worth mentioning that Ronald Lauder, who is of Syrian descent, had participated in indirect negotiations between Syria and Israel in the 1990s, and is known for his positions against Israeli expansions on occupied Syrian territories.
