Axios about Trump Negotiations on the warending plan are in their final stages

Khaberni - US President Donald Trump told Axios on Sunday that negotiations about his plan to end the war in Gaza are "in their final stages," and clarified that an agreement could pave the way for a broader peace in the Middle East.

Trump added, "Everyone came together to reach an agreement, but we actually have to get it done," explaining that his plan aims to do more than just end the war in Gaza, offering a broader push for peace in the region.

"If we get this done, it will be a great day for Israel and for the Middle East. This would be the first chance for real peace in the Middle East. But we have to actually get it done," according to Trump.

Trump told Axios that "Netanyahu supports his plan."

The site reported from an informed source that the White House special envoy Steve Witkoff, and President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, might meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday in New York.

This meeting comes within the framework of American efforts to bridge the remaining gaps concerning the plan proposed by Washington to end the ongoing war in Gaza, according to Axios.

Trump will meet Netanyahu at the White House on Monday. Trump told Axios that "Netanyahu supports his plan." The Israeli government has not officially commented on it.

An Israeli official told Financial Times, pointing to a state of "alert" and "chaos" inside the Israeli delegation in Washington before the meeting of US President Donald Trump with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, indicating that several Arab governments convinced US President Donald Trump to "support a plan that contradicts" the Israeli position.

These statements come at a time when Washington is pushing a new 21-point plan to end the war that has been ongoing for about two years in Gaza.

The meeting between Trump and Netanyahu, their fourth since Trump's return to power in January, exceeds any other leader's meetings with the US president. The preparations are underway amid a notable tension regarding the ongoing war in Gaza.

The plan, presented by Trump to Arab and Muslim leaders during the United Nations meetings in New York last week, includes a permanent ceasefire, the release of remaining Israeli detainees held by Hamas, and the deployment of an international force to stabilize the sector, supervised by an international body over a Palestinian committee managing Gaza in a transitional phase.

Although Trump confirmed via his platform "Truth Social" that there is a "real opportunity to achieve greatness in the Middle East" and that "everyone is ready for something extraordinary," Netanyahu's speech before the UN General Assembly did not address the American plan. Instead, he emphasized that Israel "will finish the job" against Hamas, reaffirming his rejection of the establishment of a Palestinian state or involving the Palestinian Authority in Gaza.

Netanyahu also reiterated his conditions for ending the war, foremost of which is the release of all detainees, numbering 48, of whom it is believed that 20 are still alive, and Hamas surrendering its arms.

An Israeli official told the newspaper that Israel is "aware" of the American plan, but sees that "any implementation will only be done with its approval", however, informed sources warned that the American plan is still under negotiation, and that the drafts leaked to the media may change following the meeting between Netanyahu and Trump.
