Khaberni - Deputy Ismail Al-Mashaqbah has requested the Minister of Higher Education for clarifications on "financial advances" at Al al-Bayt University and the participation of some of its employees in the Dead Sea conference through submitting a parliamentary question seeking detailed clarifications related to the "financial advances" file at Al al-Bayt University.
Al-Mashaqbah also requested a statement on the legal basis on which the university relies for issuing these advances, amid information about disbursements of financial amounts to some of its employees up to 100,000 dinars.
He also inquired about the category of employees to whom these advances were granted, their actual value, and whether there are legal provisions that allow the university to perform this procedure.
The Deputy pointed out the necessity to be provided with the names of the employees who received these advances, their values, and their job titles, in addition to the explicit legal text used as a basis.
He also requested detailed clarifications concerning the participation of a number of Al al-Bayt University's employees in the Dead Sea conference held on September 15, 2025.
In his question, Al-Mashaqbah requested the names of the participating employees, their job titles, whether their participation was official as a part of the conference or just to attend the sessions. He also inquired about the financial cost incurred by the university for this participation, and whether the university financed it from its allocations.
The Deputy wondered about the basis on which the participation of these employees was established, whether they were officially delegated through university decisions, or if the attendance was merely symbolic. He also requested to be provided with all the correspondences and official documents issued by the university in this regard.
In a related context, the Deputy asked whether the university had adhered to standards of fairness and provided equal opportunities to its employees wishing to participate, or if the selection was limited to specific names without clear justifications.
