Khaberni - Dr. Nidal al-Qatamin, the Minister of Transport, inspected the Directorate of Air Navigation and Meteorology at King Hussein Airport in the city of Aqaba, emphasizing the importance of following up on the efforts to improve air navigation to ensure the security and safety of aviation.
On the sidelines of a cabinet meeting held on Saturday in Aqaba, al-Qatamin was briefed on the most important projects being implemented by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, including the radar reconnaissance system, and the automatic landing system, which aim to enhance the work of navigation and air safety in Aqaba, and provide advanced radar coverage according to international standards.
During the visit, al-Qatamin examined the services provided by the meteorological station at the airport, pointing out the importance of developing the relevant meteorological devices to provide complete services for air navigation according to international requirements and practices.
