Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II confirmed today, Sunday, that Jordan is fully prepared, as always, to protect its sovereignty and security.
This occurred during a meeting of His Majesty the King with former Prime Ministers at the Al Husseiniya Palace, where His Majesty discussed the developments in the region and the outcomes of his visit to New York last week to participate in the United Nations General Assembly meetings, describing them as successful.
His Majesty referred to Jordan's coordination with Arab brothers and partners on the comprehensive plan about Gaza that was presented by President Donald Trump to Arab and Muslim leaders, confirming that it witnessed significant agreement.
His Majesty also mentioned the close convergence with Arab and Muslim leaders and the alignment in views with friendly countries regarding developments in the region, especially the Palestinian issue and the situation in Gaza, pointing to the international consensus on the two-state solution as the only way to achieve peace in the region.
The meeting also addressed the Israeli aggression on Qatar, where His Majesty confirmed that this aggression carries a clear message, the purpose of which is to terrorize the region with force, pointing out that the aggression has harmed Israel's relations with the regional countries.
The meeting covered overall developments in the region, including the situations in Syria and Lebanon, and Jordan's commitment to supporting their efforts in maintaining their sovereignty and stability.
His Majesty indicated that Jordan is advancing in the three modernization tracks, despite the difficult regional situations, emphasizing the importance of completing the economic projects under implementation.
The meeting included former Prime Ministers Ahmad Obeidat, Abdul Karim Kabariti, Dr. Abdul Raouf Rawabdeh, Engineer Ali Abu Ragheb, Faisal Al-Fayez, Dr. Adnan Badran, Engineer Nader Al-Dahabi, Awn Khasawneh, Dr. Abdullah Ensour, Dr. Hani Mulki, and Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh.
The meeting was attended by the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court Youssef Hassan Al-Issawi, the Director of His Majesty's Office, Engineer Alaa Batayneh, and the Director of General Intelligence Major General Ahmad Husni.
