Kuwait Dismantling a network providing illegal work residencies led by a citizen

Khaberni -The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior has arrested a network specializing in providing illegal work residencies, led by a citizen who exploited the authority granted to him by multiple entities.

The General Department for Residence Affairs Investigations revealed the case, tracing back to the department uncovering information about a citizen authorized to sign for (25) companies, in addition to (4) related companies exploiting these entities to illegally register workers.

It was confirmed that the total number of workers registered with those companies was (56), among which (3) were violators of the residency law, and (3) violated the visa conditions, while it appeared that some of them were working for entities different from the ones they obtained their residencies from.

The relevant authorities summoned the accused and confronted him with the information, where he admitted that he facilitated the issuance of residencies in exchange for financial amounts received through two intermediaries, one Syrian and the other Indian, indicating that the amounts paid by the workers ranged between 350 and 1200 Kuwaiti Dinars, for facilitating obtaining the residency without having an actual job.

The Ministry of Interior stated that based on the investigation results, all parties involved were referred to the competent authority to take the necessary legal actions against them.
