Khaberni -The Minister of Public Works and Housing, Engineer Maher Abu Al-Semn, inspected on Monday a number of road projects that the ministry is working on in the province of Ajloun.
Abu Al-Semn began his field tour by reviewing the work progress on the maintenance and expansion project of the Kafrenjah-Wadi Al-Tawaheen road in Ajloun province, which includes expanding the current road by performing cutting and filling operations, laying base courses, and a new asphalt layer.
The project also includes maintenance of the existing road's asphalt mixture surface, in addition to executing a comprehensive set of traffic safety works including ground paintings, installing reflectors and metal barriers, protective netting, and executing stone chains (gabion) works.
The estimated cost of the project is about 1.2 million dinars, and the completion rate has reached 11%, with work expected to be finished by the end of next November.
It should be noted that the ministry, in an effort to facilitate the implementation of the work and to maintain public safety, has effected a complete closure of the road from the direction of (Kafrenjah - Wadi Al-Tawaheen - Ajloun Complex), and a partial closure from (Ajloun Mills Resort - Wadi Al-Tawaheen - Al Iman Mosque), noting that the closure does not include residents of the work area.
This development project comes as part of the ministry's efforts aimed at ensuring the durability of roads, the safety of their users, and providing better service to the local residents in the area.
