An extraordinary session of the Arab League launches today to discuss the situation in Gaza

Khaberni -The extraordinary session of the Arab League at the level of permanent representatives, convened by the State of Palestine, launches on Tuesday to discuss the serious escalation in the Gaza Strip, the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, and religious sanctities.

This call comes amid catastrophic conditions and a siege of starvation causing gratuitous death among civilians in the Gaza Strip, against the backdrop of the occupation’s targeting of Islamic and Christian holy sites, notably the illegal Israeli plan to withdraw the municipal authority of Hebron in managing the Ibrahim Mosque and its surroundings, handing it over to what is called "the religious council" of the Israeli settlements, in an attempt to alter the legal and historical status of the place and completely convert it to Israeli control.

The session aims to explore ways of mobilizing Arab political, legal, and diplomatic movements at regional and international levels to confront these unprecedented violations, and to rally support for an effective movement ensuring the cessation of aggression and accountability of the occupation for its crimes.
