Khaberni -The Public Safety Committee in the Irbid Governorate took immediate precautionary measures on Monday after observing clear cracks on the walls and fence of a two-story house located near Al-Hashimi Street.

Irbid Governor, Radwan Al-Atoum, confirmed that the relevant authorities, along with security forces and civil defense, were present at the site of the house, which was found to be abandoned and was previously inhabited before being vacated some time ago.

Al-Atoum explained that the committee worked to secure the perimeter of the house to ensure public safety, noting that a specialized engineering committee will be formed to conduct a technical inspection of the building and assess its danger level, and determine whether it needs maintenance or complete removal.

He emphasized that the final decision regarding the fate of the building will be based on the report of the technical committee, affirming that the priority is to ensure the safety of citizens and the adjacent properties. He mentioned that the precautionary measures will remain in place, with continued restriction of access to the site until the final recommendations are issued.
