Khaberni -The Egyptian Public Prosecution has concluded its investigation into the death incident of the actor Tamer Ziadi, confirming that the death resulted from a sudden heart attack, with no evidence of any criminal suspicion or deliberate assault leading to his death.

The late artist died on July 17, 2024, at the National Cancer Institute in the Fifth Settlement, after suffering a sudden collapse following an altercation with a security member over being denied entry to the clinic while accompanying his wife, who was preparing to receive a chemotherapy session.

The prosecution clarified, based on surveillance footage and witness testimonies, that Ziadi initiated a verbal then physical assault on the security staff member, who responded with a slap before others intervened to break up the fight.

A few minutes later, the artist fell to the ground inside the hospital, and attempts to resuscitate him failed despite continuing for more than two hours. According to the medical report, no external injuries were recorded on his body, and the cause of death was determined to be a severe circulatory collapse.

His wife also disclosed that Ziadi had been suffering from heart problems, and he was scheduled to receive stent placement after undergoing a cardiac catheterization several months earlier.

Ziadi's passing caused a state of sorrow in the artistic community, especially after the spread of the video clip documenting the incident, leading to speculations about the motives behind the death, which the Public Prosecution formally resolved.

Tamer Ziadi was a prominent figure in Egyptian drama, having taken part in famous works such as "Soa’b El Sa’ada" (The Man of Happiness), "Abu El Arousa" (Father of the Bride), and "Zelzal" (Earthquake), and he was close to the artist Youssef El Sherif, who co-starred with him in several dramatic works.
