Khaberni -The Syrian General Civil Aviation Authority has denied the news circulated about the closure of Damascus International Airport.
The Deputy Head of the Authority, Amjad Nakkhal, confirmed that the airport is operating normally, as usual, where scheduled flights are being conducted without any cancellations or modifications or delays, and that the movement of incoming and outgoing passengers is proceeding as usual.
Nakkhal mentioned that the airport welcomed 28 incoming flights from several destinations on Sunday, and is preparing today to receive another 29 flights.
Nakkhal also confirmed that all news circulating about the airport ceasing operations is completely unfounded, urging the media to ensure accuracy and to obtain information from its official sources.
