Turkish star subjected to violence during filming of a famous series Heres what she revealed

Khaberni -Actress Bahar Shahin caused a major stir in the Turkish press after the shocking statements she made about the behind-the-scenes of the "Istanbul the Unjust" series, which was a great success after its airing in 2019 due to its intriguing story and the actors' performances.

In an interview on YouTuber "Aria Baktash's" channel, the talented actress, who played "Jeren" in the famous work, revealed that she was subjected to what she described as "psychological and physical violence and explicit bullying" by one of the series' stars during filming.

She candidly said: "I started the series filled with enthusiasm. I was a great fan of the actress who bullied me. I sent her a message of admiration before filming, and I did not expect my admiration to turn into daily fear."

She added: "My rapid success and the audience’s love for 'Jeren' character caused discontent among some colleagues, leading them to mock my performance and descrive me with demeaning terms like 'the poor girl,' and they repeatedly ignored me deliberately on set"... And she continued: "She was about to slap me one day, and when I closed the door in her face in defense, she started screaming claiming that I was the one who attacked her, despite her having been violent towards me for 25 weeks without any deterrent."

Bahar Shahin also pointed out that she felt there was an implicit complicity within the team against her, where she said: "Every time she attacked me verbally or physically, they would tell me: 'You are young, endure it...' No one defended me, and no one intervened to stop what was happening."

These candid statements aroused a wave of great anger among viewers, who emphasized the need to protect new actors, questioning the true nature of the environment of Turkish series filming and the complex backstages that are revealed periodically.
