Khaberni -After leading his team Inter Miami to a big win over New York Red Bulls (1-5) in the American League, Argentine star Lionel Messi was chosen as the Player of the Round for the fifth time this season.
Messi delivered an outstanding performance, scoring two goals and assisting another, leading Miami to a sweeping victory at New York Red Bulls' home ground, in the league's last round before the "All Stars" match break.
Messi is currently going through a brilliant period with Inter Miami in the American league, scoring 12 goals in the last seven matches, including six doubles, and is the top scorer of the competition with 18 goals, tied with English player Sam Surridge of Nashville.
This is the fifth time Messi has been honored as the Player of the Round this season, having also won it in rounds 16, 17, and 22, and he won this accolade six times last season.
Inter Miami is currently ranked fifth in the Eastern Conference with 41 points, trailing the leader Cincinnati by 7 points, but Miami has played 3 fewer matches.
