Khaberni -Manchester city police arrested Argentine international winger Alejandro Garnacho before he joined the Manchester United training sessions in preparation for the new season.
The British newspaper DailyMail reported that Garnacho was driving a vehicle that was not subjected to tax, thus his driving was illegal in the country.
However, the tax and the amount of the fine are not the problem now for the young player, as his arrest and the ensuing investigation caused him to miss a training session and not meet Manchester United's Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim, just three days before the team's first preparatory match against Leeds United on Sunday, 19th July.
The penalty for these offenses is a possible out-of-court settlement, in addition to a fine of 30 British pounds, equating to one and a half times the amount of the due tax.
If Garnacho does nothing, the situation could escalate to the extent of it being considered a criminal offense in magistrate court, with a fine amounting to 1000 British pounds or five times the amount of the tax due.
