Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate stated that single accidents involve only one vehicle, are often very dangerous, and result in injuries due to collisions with stationary objects or the deterioration or overturning of the vehicle.
It explained that among the main causes of single accidents are distractions such as phones or other things like food and drink, speeding which reduces the driver's ability to control the vehicle at high speeds, reckless driving such as unsafe overtaking, speeding in turns, loss of focus due to fatigue and drowsiness, and vehicle conditions such as brake or tire failure.
It clarified that among the most important ways to prevent single accidents are adhering to speed limits, avoiding the use of mobile phones, regular vehicle maintenance, and using seat belts to protect the driver and passengers.
