Khaberni - Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs warned of Israel's resumption of the "E1" settlement project, which aims to build more than 3,000 new housing units east of occupied Jerusalem, considering it a blatant violation of international law, and a clear undermining of the two-state solution and the Palestinian people's right to establish their independent sovereign state on the June 4, 1967 lines with its capital being occupied Jerusalem.
The official spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah, affirmed the kingdom's absolute rejection and its severe condemnation of any Israeli attempts to impose its control over the West Bank, and to disconnect its north from its south, in a blatant breach of international law and the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, especially resolution 2334, which condemns all Israeli actions aimed at altering the demographic composition, character, and status of the Palestinian land occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, along with the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice which confirmed the illegality of the Israeli occupation and the nullity of the settlements and land annexation procedures of the West Bank.
Ambassador Al-Qudah warned of media reports about transferring the administrative powers of managing and overseeing the Hebron Mosque from Israeli settlement entities, which translates into the continuation of unilateral Israeli policies that violate international law and related United Nations resolutions, in an attempt to fully control the Hebron Mosque and change its Islamic and Arab identity.
Ambassador Al-Qudah reiterated that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian land and that all Israeli actions in the West Bank are illegitimate and unlawful.
Ambassador Al-Qudah called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities, to oblige Israel and its extremist government to immediately stop its aggression on Gaza and its dangerous escalation and illegitimate expansionist actions in the occupied West Bank, to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, and to meet their legitimate rights to establish their independent state on their national soil, and to stop the crimes against them and hold those responsible accountable.
