Khaberni -Former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated that "Israel has a moral commitment to protect the Druze," considering that it is currently not making enough effort to defend the Syrian Druze.
Galant said, "Our Druze brothers are partners in the journey and brothers in arms, in Israel and in the region - and the State of Israel has a moral and national interest to help defend the Druze in Syria."
Galant added, "The State of Israel is not making enough effort. In these difficult times, a clear political decision and swift guidance are necessary, along with enabling the Israeli Defense Forces to strike the attackers and protect the Druze."
An RT correspondent reported that Israeli drones targeted the Syrian General Staff headquarters in the capital Damascus with several missiles this Wednesday.
Furthermore, the Israeli army intensified its raids on southern Syria, where "Al-Tha'lah" military airport and its surroundings were subjected to simultaneous raids that killed and wounded members of the Syrian army.
It was also reported that 7 raids were carried out on the city of As-Suwayda and its surroundings. In Daraa and Quneitra, major military sites such as "Brigade 52" east of Daraa, and military convoys of the 54th Division on the Damascus–Daraa road, were targeted, while Israeli drones continued to fly over Daraa and Quneitra, with raids hitting various sites.
On Wednesday, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that "the Israeli army will continue to attack regime forces until they withdraw from the region, and will soon escalate the level of response to the regime if the message is not understood."
