Khaberni -Syrian writer and star Bassem Yakhour's ex-wife, Rana Al-Hariri, defended herself against criticisms she received following the posting of content on social media related to cooking and house cleaning.
Al-Hariri posted hostile messages she received in the comments, where some followers criticized her for posting a video about cooking hummus fatteh and dusting the furniture.
She said: "I write, I work, I cook, I care for the house, I enjoy myself, and I travel... I am a human being above all, and I don’t limit myself to a particular characteristic or definition."
She added: "My pages on social media are personal, about me and my life, not professional pages about my work or contracts or affiliations, and I don’t recall ever posting a screenplay I wrote for example, and actually, copyright laws prevent me from publishing any of my works, because they become the property of the companies that buy and produce them."
She continued: "If you are writing to me out of concern and fear for my professional future, I thank you, and hope this clarification is sufficient for you to feel reassured."
She concluded by explaining why she shared the criticism messages: "Note: I allowed myself to publish some of the comments in this way because their authors wrote them publicly on the last video on my public Facebook page."
