Khaberni -Egyptian security forces in Giza have arrested a maid accused of stealing Egyptian pounds and US dollars from the villa of Amina Shalabya, a media personality on one of the Egyptian channels.

The story began when Amina Shalabya noticed the disappearance of some valuable belongings from her apartment, including a sum of money and jewelry, which raised her suspicions and prompted her to go to the police station to file a report on the incident.

Shalabya filed a complaint accusing the maid, who had recently been working for her, of taking an amount of 24,000 Egyptian pounds, 1,000 US dollars, and 100 euros, in addition to a gold bracelet, from inside her residence.

After necessary investigations, reviewing surveillance footage, and checking the movement log of the employees at the apartment, the identity of the maid, who had been working for her for a short period, was determined, and she was arrested at a location near the victim's residence.

Upon confrontation, the accused confessed to the incident, and she indicated where she sold the gold items to a jeweler who owns a goldsmith shop in Giza. Legal procedures were taken, and the prosecution was notified to take over the investigation.

It is noted that Amina Shalabya is a 56-year-old Egyptian media personality who won the title of Miss Egypt in 1988, after graduating from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, and later pursued a career in fashion.

Subsequently, Shalabya opened a private school to teach makeup application and skincare, becoming one of the well-known beauty experts in Egypt. She also presented numerous programs focused on fashion, attire, and etiquette.
