With fantastical salaries BBC reveals list of highestpaid broadcasters

Khaberni -The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has unveiled its annual list of the highest-paid broadcasters for 2024-2025, at a time when the organization is facing internal crises that have sparked widespread controversy recently.

Former football star and renowned broadcaster Gary Lineker topped the list again, despite announcing his departure from the network following the end of the "Match of the Day" season, where his annual salary ranged between 1.35 million and 1.4 million British pounds.

In second place was broadcaster Zoe Ball, despite a significant drop in her salary compared to last year, which this year amounted to 519,999 British pounds, after previously earning 954,999 pounds.

In November (November) last year, Ball announced stepping down from presenting the famous breakfast show on "Radio 2" after 6 years, to focus on her family life.

The third place went to Lineker's colleague on "Match of the Day," former football star Alan Shearer, who earned between 440,000 and 445,000 British pounds. In fourth place was broadcaster Greg James from "Radio 1," with a salary ranging between 425,000 and 429,999 British pounds, marking a slight increase from his previous salary.

The list continued to showcase prominent names at the BBC, including political reporter Nick Robinson, and broadcaster Fiona Bruce, both earning between 410,000 and 415,000 British pounds, followed by Stephen Nolan, Laura Kuenssberg, and Vernon Kay, before concluding with broadcaster Scott Mills, Zoe Ball's successor on "Radio 2," with a salary of 355,000 and 360,000 British pounds.

Although the list includes top media personalities at the BBC, it does not cover all employees, especially those who are paid through BBC Studios, a financially separate entity.
