Khaberni -Three-dimensional face recognition technology is considered a luxury in today's smartphone market, with Apple being the only company consistently offering Face ID on its iPhones.

According to a new report, several Chinese smartphone companies are conducting internal tests on devices equipped with under-display cameras and three-dimensional face recognition feature.

The report suggests that we may soon see the first batch of devices equipped with "invisible" selfie cameras for biometric authentication, according to a report published by "gsmarena" and viewed by "Al Arabiya Business".

Although iPhones have been equipped with three-dimensional face recognition technology for some time, it remains rare on Android devices.

"Honor" is one of the few companies offering this feature, with the most recent being the Magic7 Pro phone.

We have also seen several Android devices equipped with under-display (UD) selfie cameras, especially from the ZTE nubia series, with the Z70S Ultra being a recent example.

What we have not yet seen is a device equipped with both three-dimensional face scanning feature and an under-display camera, so it will be interesting to see how this technology evolves and which company will launch the first device combining these two features.
