Khaberni -The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced on Tuesday that fans wishing to attend the World Cup matches in 2026 can apply for tickets starting from September 10 next year.
The first phase of ticket booking and the draw will start on this date.
Those interested in purchasing tickets for the tournament, which will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, must create a "FIFA ID" on the official website of the Federation.
FIFA advised the public to take this step as soon as possible.
It has been decided that tickets will be sold in several phases until the final match on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
The tournament is expected to attract 6.5 million fans, with 48 teams competing in 104 matches across three countries, making it the biggest edition of the World Cup.
The demand for tickets for major team matches or important knockout stage games is also expected to exceed the number of tickets available.
Some tickets have already been allocated, as FIFA has introduced joint tickets for the Club World Cup and the World Cup, in an attempt by the Federation to boost ticket sales for the recently concluded club championships in America.
The participating teams have not yet been determined, nor where and when they will play. The draw for the tournament is scheduled for early December of next year, and FIFA has not yet announced the date and location of the event.
