Khaberni -Manchester City has signed a massive new contract with sports equipment and apparel company Puma worth one billion British pounds ($1.34 billion USD) over the next ten years.
City's deal with Puma is the largest sports equipment supply partnership in the history of the Premier League.
After the two parties signed an agreement worth 65 million British pounds annually with the German company in 2019, reports indicate that the new deal is reaching 100 million British pounds annually until 2035.
This figure shatters the deal worth 90 million British pounds annually, which Manchester United signed with Adidas in 2023.
Reports suggest that Spanish football giants Real Madrid and Barcelona have similar deals exceeding 100 million British pounds annually.
Spanish executive Ferran Soriano, CEO of the City Football Group, said: "We collaborated with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and exceed expectations. We have achieved this and more over the past six seasons. Puma has integrated seamlessly into our organization, and we have enjoyed many historic moments together, engaging with fans around the world."
This deal for City comes after the team finished their first season without any titles since the 2016-2017 season.
Last season, the team managed by Spanish coach Pep Guardiola finished third in the domestic league standings after winning the title in the previous four seasons.
The team lost surprisingly to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final, and was then eliminated from the round of 16 of the Club World Cup, which was recently held in the United States, by Saudi Al-Hilal.
