Khaberni -In a notable scientific achievement on the international academic stage, Dr. Malik Sallam, an associate professor at the Jordan University College of Medicine, won the Best Scientific Research Award for 2023, granted by the "Healthcare" journal of the international publishing house "MDPI", for his study titled: "ChatGPT Utility in Healthcare Education, Research, and Practice: Systematic Review on the Promising Perspectives and Valid Concerns", which was selected from more than 3190 scientific studies published during the last year.
This recognition is based on precise scientific criteria that include originality, citation count, research dissemination, and its impact in the academic field.
The award is among the highest honors bestowed by the journal annually to the most prominent research that has made a significant impact in the fields of healthcare and medical education.
Dr. Malik Sallam expressed his pride in this achievement, thanking the journal and the scientific committee, and affirming that the award was the fruit of hard work and continuous research.
He also expressed his pride in being a member of Jordan University, affirming that it is a distinguished scientific environment that embraces researchers and contributes to supporting medical knowledge at both regional and international levels.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Malik Sallam has been ranked for the past three years among the top 2% of the most influential scientists according to the Stanford/Elsevier list, and is among the top 0.05% of researchers globally in a number of medical fields according to the "ScholarGPS" list.
