Khaberni -The Family Health Care Centers (under the King Hussein Foundation) in Irbid and Al Karak have obtained the KPASS certification from Kidproof, the globally accredited child protection program, after meeting all standards and implementing the required policies and procedures, with execution, supervision, and training by Dikka Company for mental development.
This achievement is part of the "Enhancement of Children's Eye Health in Schools and Community Environments in Jordan" project funded by the Fred Hollows Foundation, and the "Child Protection - Prevention and Response for Boys and Girls who are survivors or at risk of violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation, among the vulnerable groups of Syrians, Jordanians, and other minorities", funded by the United Nations Children's Fund - UNICEF.
The accreditation aims to provide a safe and child-friendly environment within the centers, enable staff to apply the best protection practices, and monitor and prevent any abusive or harmful behavior that children may be exposed to, in addition to providing necessary psychological and social support, and raising community awareness.
Both centers participated in intensive training through the KPASS program from Kidproof, supervised by a specialized team from Dikka Company, which included the development of a comprehensive protection policy, such as safe employment procedures, risk management, proper handling of children, and reporting of abuse cases, in addition to evaluative field visits to the centers to ensure their full compliance with the accredited international standards.
The Family Health Care Institute holds an accreditation certificate and has received recognition from national entities as a distinguished center in providing services such as reproductive and sexual health services for youth, services for domestic violence cases, and provides comprehensive healthcare for the family and training for specialists in family healthcare and child protection.
The Institute is also a distinguished center in providing services for people with disabilities, implementing a unique model of health services that covers the three courses of health according to the World Health Organization, in addition to services for torture victims and rehabilitation of survivors of violence.
The training unit at the Institute holds a large number of courses annually in various fields, including short training courses, and specialized courses that offer diplomas in cooperation with national educational institutions.
Dikka Company Jordan is the exclusive representative of Canadian Kidproof programs in the kingdom, and aims to spread a culture of protection through accredited training programs such as KPASS, and provide practical tools for institutions wishing to adopt a safe and child-friendly environment.
