Khaberni -The concert of the Syrian artist George Wassouf, which was scheduled to be held on July 17 in one of the villages of the North Coast of Egypt, was postponed after a huge fire completely destroyed the stage designated for the event.
According to media sources; the fire occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, necessitating the halting of technical preparations and postponing the concert until July 31, pending the rehabilitation of the site.
Details of the Crisis
Preliminary investigations indicated that a malfunction in the sound systems led to one of the speakers catching fire, before the flames quickly spread and consumed all the stage setups. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the fire broke out suddenly, causing significant material damage without recording any human injuries.
The organizing body has not yet issued an official statement, while the relevant authorities continue to investigate the causes of the fire.
Wassouf's latest work, the song "Spanish Dance" released last July, features lyrics by Malak Adel, composed by Mohamed Yahya, arranged by Basem Rezk, and directed by Jad Shwery in the video clip.
