Khaberni -The Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology "Etidal," in cooperation with the "Telegram" platform, removed more than 30 million extremist materials, during the second quarter of the current year 2025.
Similarly, this bilateral cooperation in the framework of digital extremism counteraction between Etidal Center and Telegram resulted in the closure of 1,254 extremist channels during the same period, while these results are part of a plan between the two parties that began in February 2022, and resulted by the end of June 2025, in the removal of approximately 207,604,942 extremist materials, alongside the closure of 17,455 extremist channels that were documented being used in spreading extremist content, or inciting violence and terrorism.
The Global Center "Etidal" uses its advanced technical tools and specialized experts to monitor and track extremist content in various languages and media, in cooperation with its global partners, while "Telegram" continues to enhance its reporting mechanisms and rapid response capabilities to protect users and counter any exploitation of the platform in spreading extremist ideas.
