Khaberni -The Drug Control Department of the General Directorate for Crime Detection and Forensic Science in Bahrain managed to arrest a number of individuals in separate incidents, after they attempted to smuggle and possess a quantity of drugs weighing more than 7 kilograms, valued at about 121 thousand Bahraini Dinars.
The department explained that upon receiving information about the incidents, search and investigation operations were carried out, information and evidence were collected, which resulted in identifying the suspects and arresting them with the narcotics in their possession, where the seized items were secured and necessary legal actions were taken, and the cases were referred to the Public Prosecution.
The Criminal Media Division emphasized the importance of enhancing community partnership in the field of drug danger awareness through lectures and educational exhibitions, urging the public to communicate with relevant security authorities via the hotline (996), or the main operations room (999), or through the email [email protected], available around the clock, with total confidentiality of the information.
