The Kuwaiti Minister's statements, in which he confirmed that the Emir of Kuwait has a keen security vision as a veteran security man, were made in the context of press statements following his meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at Baabda Palace in Lebanon.
Kuwait's security is a red line
Sheikh Fahd Al-Yusuf mentioned that his country needed his presence, reaffirming that the security of Kuwait is a red line, adding: «I personally will not allow any transgression by any person or any party in Kuwait», this was stated in a press statement following his meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at Baabda Palace in Lebanon.
Historical relations
Similarly, he pointed out that Kuwaiti-Lebanese relations are historical and emphasized the keenness to activate them in a way that enhances the interests of both peoples and develops the path of security and stability in the region. He also praised the professional competence of the Lebanese security forces, pointing to the importance of developing joint security work in line with the challenges and changes and establishing an inclusive cooperation system based on sustainable coordination.
In return, the meeting that brought together the Lebanese President and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait, according to the Lebanese presidential statement, discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, in addition to ways to develop bilateral cooperation between the security agencies in both countries and exchange expertise in various fields.
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah arrived yesterday Sunday in the Lebanese capital Beirut on an official visit during which he will meet senior officials.
