Khaberni -The Qatari Ministry of Interior has revealed the start of compensating a number of citizens and residents in the country, whose private properties, including residential buildings, cars, or industrial and commercial facilities, were damaged due to the falling debris from the interception of Iranian missiles, and were documented by reports at the relevant security departments.
A high committee met yesterday based on the directive of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to determine and assess the damages resulting from the event, and the Ministry of Interior confirmed in a statement today, that it will reach out to those affected who have documented reports, to complete the compensation procedures in accordance with the approved regulations and guidelines.
The ministry also urged individuals who have not documented their reports to apply for compensation, emphasizing that claims submitted after the specified period will not be considered.
The Qatari air defense forces had fended off a barrage of Iranian missiles aimed at the Al Udeid American base, deploying 300 troops from the armed forces, and activating Patriot missile batteries to counterattack at that time.
Doha condemned the Iranian attack at that time, considering it a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar and its airspace, of international law, and of the United Nations Charter. Majid Al-Ansari, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that there were no human casualties as a result of the incident.
