Khaberni -Real Madrid has signed the Spanish left-back Álvaro Carreras from Portuguese club Benfica, making him the fourth signing for the Merengues this summer.
Real Madrid had already signed three players this summer: Dean Huysen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Franco Mastantonio.
Real Madrid stated in an official announcement: "Real Madrid and Benfica have reached an agreement for the transfer of Álvaro Carreras, who will remain linked to our club for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2031."
Álvaro Carreras trained at Real Madrid’s youth academy, where he played between 2017 and 2020 in both the youth and junior teams.
He joined Benfica coming from Manchester United after being named the best under-23 player at the English club for the 2021-2022 season. With Benfica, he won the Portuguese League Cup this year.
Álvaro Carreras will be presented tomorrow, Tuesday at 1 PM, at Real Madrid City.
Later, Real Madrid's president, Florentino Pérez, will welcome Carreras at the official signing ceremony that will link the player with the club for the next six seasons.
Following the presentation, Carreras will speak to the media in the press room at Real Madrid City.
