Khaberni -The executive director of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, Ayman Samawi, met on Monday with the Cultural Affairs Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in the Kingdom, Zhao Xiaoqiang, and discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and build bridges of civilizational communication through art and culture.
The meeting addressed ways to enhance cultural cooperation and highlighted the anticipated Chinese participation in this year's Jerash Festival, which is considered an active platform for cultural exchange and building bridges of friendship and understanding between peoples.
A Chinese artistic group is scheduled to present a special performance titled “Colorful China” at the main arena stage, in an evening expected to combine fine artistic performance and the beauty of authentic Chinese culture.
During the meeting, both sides agreed on the importance of expanding the scope of cultural cooperation and exchange through the annual activities of the festival, and developing cultural links and exchanging knowledge and experience in the cultural and artistic fields.
The two parties also discussed the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding between the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts and the Chinese Cultural Center in Jordan to establish an institutional framework for long-term cultural cooperation between the two sides.
