Khaberni -The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the enforcement of the capital punishment as a deterrence against three culprits of Ethiopian nationality in the Najran region, after convicting them of smuggling hashish drugs into the kingdom.
The Ministry of Interior issued a statement today regarding the enforcement of the capital punishment as a deterrence against the culprits, which reads as follows:
Allah Almighty said: "And cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation" and He said: "And do not desire corruption in the land, indeed Allah does not love the corrupters" and He said: "And Allah does not love corruption" and He said: "Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth to cause corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land; that is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment."
Abdullah Noorudeen Ahmed Nadi, Abdullah Ibrahim Mohammed Haji, and Jamal Mohammed Rashid Ahmed - of Ethiopian nationality - proceeded to smuggle hashish drugs into the kingdom, and by the grace of Allah, the security agencies managed to arrest the mentioned offenders, and upon investigation, they were charged with committing the crime, and upon their referral to the competent court, a verdict was issued confirming the accusations against them and sentenced them to be executed as a deterrence; and the verdict became final after being appealed, then upheld by the Supreme Court, and a royal decree was issued to enforce what was decided by Sharia.
The capital punishment as a deterrence was carried out on the offenders, Abdullah Noorudeen Ahmed Nadi, Abdullah Ibrahim Mohammed Haji and Jamal Mohammed Rashid Ahmed - of Ethiopian nationality - on Sunday, 18 / 1 / 1447 AH corresponding to 13 / 7 / 2025 AD in the Najran region.
The Ministry of the Interior hereby announces this to affirm the commitment of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to protecting the security of citizens and residents from the scourge of drugs, enforcing the most severe penalties prescribed by the system against their smugglers and promoters; due to the severe harm caused including the loss of innocent lives and major corruption in youth, individuals, and society, and violation of their rights. Meanwhile, it warns anyone who embarks on such acts that the legal punishment will be their fate. And Allah guides to the right path.
