Khaberni -Egyptian artist Lotfy Labib experienced a sudden health crisis in the past few hours, necessitating his admission to a private hospital in Cairo.
His health condition deteriorated
While Lotfy Labib's family has refused to disclose details about the health crisis he is experiencing, a source close to the artist confirmed to "Alarabiya.net" that his health significantly worsened, and he underwent several scans, tests, and medical examinations.
The source added that the doctors decided to admit him to the intensive care unit, where he is currently under close medical supervision, and visits have been restricted due to his health condition not permitting them at this time.
The source continued that Labib has been suffering from age-related illnesses for some time, in addition to being significantly affected by a stroke he suffered several years ago, which affected his ability to walk normally and completely paralyzed his left side. He noted that although Labib was undergoing physical therapy, it did not significantly improve his condition.
Final Retirement.. and a New Way to Express
It is worth mentioning that artist Lotfy Labib had officially and definitively announced his retirement from acting due to his health condition.
The artist had revealed that he suffered from a health condition that required surgery to remove a tumor in his larynx, which recently affected his voice.

Lotfy Labib had a stroke seven years ago that caused paralysis in the left half of his body, completely stopping his movement, and forcing him to retreat from the limelight. When his health improved slightly, he tried to return to the entertainment industry with a few minor appearances.
Despite tough health challenges, Labib expressed that he is very satisfied with his long artistic career, which spans over 380 artistic works. He announced his retirement from acting and is focusing on writing as a new way to express his creativity.
Regarding his latest work, it was the movie "Premo's Meadow" starring Mohamed Henedy, and artists Ghada Adel, Ahmed Bedier, Mohamed Mahmoud, Alaa Morsi, Mostafa Abu Sari, Nancy Salah, and Lotfy Labib, with Nelly Mahmoud, written by Ehab Bleibel, and directed by Saied Hamed.
