Khaberni -In its session held today, Sunday, presided over by the Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, the Cabinet decided to approve the motivating reasons for the draft system of the Scientific Research and Innovation Support Fund for the year 2025, in preparation for sending it to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau to proceed with the procedures for its approval according to the regulations.
The draft system comes in line with efforts to update the public sector, and as a completion to its requirements after the issuance of the amended law for the restructuring of governmental institutions and departments number 6 for the year 2025, where Article 7 thereof stipulates the transfer of the Scientific Research and Innovation Support Fund, established in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to the Higher Council for Science and Technology, along with its rights and assets, and it is considered the legal and actual successor to it.
The amendment will provide the necessary legal basis for the transfer of the affiliation of the Scientific Research and Innovation Support Fund from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to the Higher Council for Science and Technology.
On the level of administrative and regulatory systems and instructions, the Cabinet approved an amended system for the building and organization in Amman for the year 2025.
Under the new amendment, buildings established in 2025 will be included in the reduction percentage on unpaid fees according to the provisions of the buildings and organization system in Amman, including the penalties fees stipulated in paragraph (b) of Article (72) of this system, and in a manner that achieves justice and equality for the owners of these buildings, and reduces the burdens of paying fines.
The Cabinet also decided to approve the application of the provisions of the Electronic Tracking System for Government Vehicles and Machinery and the monitoring of their use for the year 2017, on the vehicles belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture that are used for transporting untreated organic fertilizer.
The decision aims to preserve public health and the environment, and to minimize the damages that may result from the transportation process of untreated organic fertilizer, from harming the environment, and ensuring that the transportation of this type of fertilizers is conducted according to the best practices to prevent the environmental damages that may arise from it.
